"The Car Guy"
Corky (Service Manager of Swedish Engineering North) is one of the finest automotive "ambassadors" I have ever met and
he has been kind enough to listen to my radio show -- and we have since become friends.
Additionally, of course, though I am an automotive technician by
background, since we all know the importance of "specialists" in the
service world, I have concluded that Ann Arbor Swedish Engineering is
the "VOLVO" shop of my choice. While I take pride in doing the majority
of repairs and service to my vehicles on my own, I follow the same
advice I tell my radio show audience when it comes to the best
technicians. When I take my wife's Volvo to Swedish Engineering, I believe that
I am getting a service that matches the quality of my car.
Such as Volvo's unique electrical or fuel injection, I am not about to
apply my generalist skills and diagnostics to such a specialty product.
It's those times that I gladly turn to Corky and his team at Swedish
Engineering for service support, and then I happily become the
"customer."
When you own a sophisticated vehicle, such as a Volvo, taking it to a
"general" auto repair shop that might also do Chevys, Fords and Toyotas
is a sure way to miss the expertise that comes with knowing the best way
(read "right" way) to service a Volvo is to treat it as a uniquely
engineered product. As an owner of a Volvo I've invested in the
product, when I take my vehicle to Swedish Engineering I believe I'm
getting service that matches that product.
