comments: I want to thank the team at Swedish Engineering for such outstanding work and attention to detail. From the first time you enter the service area, both Corky and Drew always greet you by first name and a friendly hello.
As for the technicians, I have not had a chance to meet them directly, but want to say thanks for the great work they do. The suggestions are for repairs that I should do immediately along with items to watch in the future. It is rare to find this approach to maintenance.

Just wanted to send a special thank you to you for getting me in and out of there last week. My life has me traveling a lot and when I am home it feels impossible to be in Fenton and get my Volvo down there for service.
When I spoke with you last Monday and you were able to get me on the schedule right then I was really appreciative. The thought of getting in and out of there with the time you had mentioned for the service seemed optimistic because many other service stations say one hour and three go by while still sitting there with no communication.
I had to speed the process along because I have a very busy practice to tend to and not much time for maintainance of my vehicle. In my practice I respect people's time and it is great to go places where other people respect my time as well. Thanks for getting me in and out in the time you stated. It is greatly appreciated.

suggestion: I want to take a moment and express my sincere thanks to a member of your staff - Mr. Jason Gary. Jason has helped me on several occasions and each time he has been patient, friendly, and informative. He is a primary reason I use Swedish Engineering for parts for both my Volvos.
Jason takes the time to listen to what I think I need, then explains in a tactful friendly manner what I "really" need. He is good to his word as to shiping and I have yet to have any errors in my orders.
Again, my thanks to Jason for making my Volvo ownership so much easier. And thanks to all to Swedish Engineering folks.

Since moving my family to the Chicago from the Boston area nine
months ago I was dreading the time when my wife's 850R wagon with 107K miles
required service. The day came this week and I was notified of the need for
a front oxygen sensor and ABS control module at a cost of nearly $1,000 for
parts alone. Despite the desire to keep the vehicle as a 2nd car for
running the kids around, my yankee upbringing and experience restoring
Ferrari's and late 40's Olds following graduate school could not accept such
a steep entrance fee. A little research on the web brought me to your site
and the customer comments were impressive enough to submit the required
information and launch. Less than 12 hours later my office phone rang with
a call from Philip in Atlanta informing me that our company firewall was
prohibiting him from responding to my inquiry. We discussed the problem and
immediately ordered the parts at a savings of approximately 50% from the
specialty foreign car repair shop located on the pricy north Shore of
Chicago! Next time my first call will be to SwedishEngineering. First
Class service at a reasonable price.

service oriented employee. I had a minor problem regarding some parts I ordered
from your Georgia operation. When I called Georgia to inquire about the items the
telephone was being forwarded to Michigan. Chris took the bull by the horns and

I just wanted to say thank you for being so prompt in responding to
my e-mail. Phillip was a great help. I have an "85" 740 Turbo,that I bought
from my dad who has owned it since "85". I used to wash that car every other
weekend from the time I was eight up until today and I am going on 25. He
took such good care of it, and the first thing I do when I get in it is
kick in the door pocket . It broke into three pieces. I have looked every
where and had no luck finding the right ones in the right color until today!
It is a shame you do not have a service location here in San Antonio, Texas.

After about two years of struggle trying to find mechanics who were
capable of repairing my volvo, I finally broke down and drove the hour plus
to Ann Arbor to see if your people could manage. I will NEVER hesitate again
to drive to AA to have my car looked after. It runs beautifully!!!! I was
so happy that I grinned from ear to ear all the way home!!

I AM ECSTATIC! I found out that I needed an air mass meter for my 1984 240 and was
told it was going to cost $300.00 and take several days to get to my mechanic. I checked out
your web site that night and requested the part. Phillip Reeves E-mailed me before 8:00AM the
next day with a rebuilt meter with a 1 year warranty considerably cheaper than my mechanic had
quoted. I called him immediatly (he seems like a really nice guy!) and placed my order. I
received the part by noon the next day and replaced it MYSELF!! I will send a gift to my
mechanic for helping me diagnose the problem, but Swedish Engineering will get my orders for parts! I just can't
thank you enough.

Thank you for placing my 1994, 850 Turbo Wagon in the Volvo classifieds.
The vehicle sold on 5/26/00. What great service you provide to Volvo owners
including discounted Volvo parts and expert service/maintenance advice.
I replaced the brakes, including rotors on my '85 240 or less than 1/3 the
cost the garage wanted to charge me and with a better parts warranty. I
have talked to Corky in Ann Arbor several times for parts and installation,
he helped me get on the road quickly and dispelled my fears of parts replacement.

KW has always been extremely helpful and honest in all dealings I have had

few years. They are knowledgeable and deliver what you order promptly in
about 2 days, UPS ground. I have done some price comparisons and found them

I called around the local parts places for a Voltage regulator, Autozone,
Napa, Local Volvo dealership. The most inane response I got was from the
dealership parts department what's a voltage regulator? The
volvo dealer guy finally said well, If it is this part then it will
be $60.85 and we don't have it in stock.
Well, I called Swedish Engineering, in Ann Arbor, on Thursday afternoon.
Jason asked which model it was, said, yup, got one in stock.
Straight ahead answer, solid info and to top it all off they priced the
part at $35 + $3 for shipping. It arrived on Friday afternoon! 15 minutes
from unboxing the part to starting the motor up and watching the Voltmeter
jump right up to 14 volts! What a nice feeling, -personal satisfaction AND
I saved $75 over the price the service station quoted me to replace it!"

It would be fine to include my comments on your web site. Jason was indeed
more than helpful. I wish I lived a little closer to take advantage of the
repair service. From now on I am planning to check with you first. I just
got a copy of the RB manual for my 240 and that combined with Jason's assurance,
price and speed of delivery I saved enough to pay for the manual and have
some left over.

the quality of the used shift knob for my 1969 145. These things are not
easy to come by. Remind me to buy one of just about everything before you
run out.
The way I see it, there are few enough decent sources for things, and fewer
still where people actually know what they're selling, so this is a very

prefers to do my own work (when possible), all I really need is a good parts
outlet, fairly priced and easy to access. I like your on-line availability
for quotes as well as the toll-free number so I can call and get help when
I need it. Good concept and great execution.
These are real strengths, but here's the reality of what you need to promote...
As a customer, to be able to use my computer at work or at home, get a quote,
place an order at my convenience, and have it delivered to my office in
two or three days is very attractive. I often work long hours, spend time
in airplanes, and rarely have time for a 25-minute drive to the local dealer
who may not have the parts on-hand anyway. That means making a return trip
in a few days to pick up a special order, and paying top dollar as well!
Two roundtrips and time in line consumes over two hours out of my daytime
schedule which I don't happen to like wasting. You have no idea how valuable
it is to have an honest and practical alternative to that nonsense... You
save customers like me time, money and frustration. Having had three Volvos,
to be able to buy parts and not feel like I've been screwed is a rather
new sensation to me!"
