ANTI-AGING FOR AUTOMOBILES
Tom Torbjornsen once wrote an article titled, “The Key to the
Automotive Fountain of Youth.” Yes, he not only discovered how
to keep an engine young, but willingly shared it with the world.
So why do some cars still die an early death? Why do statistics
prove that automobile owners neglect and even abuse their second-largest
purchase? In a 1998 random fluids test conducted by the Car Care
Council during National Car Care Month, 83% of automobiles failed
in at least one area. The results didn’t alarm Tom, instead they
confirmed what he already knew. People didn’t prevent potential
problems.
Below are some statistics derived from the 1998 test:
· 28% had low, empty or dirty oil. · 22% were below normal on
transmission fluid
· 32% needed coolant · 20% showed signs of brake fluid loss
· 12% lacked power steering fluid
